Surgical Outcomes and Post-Operative Photos
We continue to work to get high quality documentation of Dr. Bowers' surgical outcomes up on the site. Dr. Bowers frequently documents her outcomes in the OR, and immediately prior to release. However, we often rely on patients to supply photographs weeks or months into their recovery. We have grouped the available photographs into several main categories.
- First-Stage SRS / GRS Surgery - Dr. Bowers has completed over 500 MTF surgeries through March 2008.
- Secondary, or Follow-up Labiaplasty - Dr. Bowers performs labiaplasties for her own SRS patients, Dr. Biber's patients, as well as for patients of other surgeons. This is an area for creativity and artistry, and remains an enjoyable challenge for Dr. Bowers.
- Revision Labiaplasty - Dr. Bowers performs cosmetic or corrective labiaplasties for both natal woman, as well as transsexual woman less than fully satisfied with the results of one-stage or two-stage surgeries performed by other surgeons.
- FTM Procedures - While Dr. Bowers has been most recently recognized for her work with the MTF population, she has worked with the FTM community in her OB/GYN practice for many years.
- Cosmetic Procedures - Trach Shaves, Breast Augmentation, etc.
