Update July 1, 2020:
We are back to performing surgery, and our hospital has measures in place to protect patients. However, COVID-19 cases are rising again, and there is still no vaccine. Patients coming to see us are expected to be extremely careful, quarantine whenever possible, follow social distancing recommendations, wear a mask at all times when in public, wash hands frequently, and limit exposure to others as much as possible. Patients who are unable to follow these guidelines will not be able to have surgery.
Update April 22, 2020:
While we have not yet been given a firm date to start rescheduling cases at our hospital, plans are being put in place to safely resume operations as soon as state and local regulations allow. Once we are given the go-ahead to schedule surgeries, we will contact patients with detailed information. Safety of patients, staff and families continues to be our primary focus. We will also be adding additional surgical days, working extra hard to make up time lost and minimize any future schedule disruptions. We hope that you and your loved ones are well!
Original post March 13, 2020:
We are concerned with COVID-19/Coronavirus and its effect on staff, family, and patients. The situation is shifting on an almost daily basis and we continue to monitor. Changes to surgery or clinic schedules will be relayed to patients as quickly as possible.
